What's on offer.

The work is available as a package. This page sets out what that includes, which structures are open, and what a first deployment could look like.

The package: working demonstration, codebase under NDA, chemistry proof of concept, design judgment, and IP position.
01

Five things, not one.

The patent is the part people ask about first and the part that matters least on its own. What has value is the whole of it — a working demonstration, a codebase, an implemented proof of concept, and the design judgment accumulated in getting there.

Working demonstration

Thirteen chapters, public and inspectable

Codebase

Working prototype, reviewable under NDA

Proof of concept

Chemistry, rendering deterministically

Proof of concept

Design judgment

Schema design, output selection, failure handling

Under NDA

IP position

Irish Short-Term Patent

02

Three shapes of deployment.

Publishers

The comprehension argument is strongest where the prose is densest. Medical, scientific and professional education titles carry more descriptive technical writing per page than any other vertical, and the cost of misunderstanding is highest.

Reading platforms

A single platform integration activates the feature across every catalogue on the platform at once, without publisher-by-publisher agreements. Text-based AI tutors explain a passage in words; this makes the same passage visible.

Distributors

Integrating at the distribution layer reaches an entire publisher network simultaneously, and works with existing content in existing formats through existing pipelines.

03

Open on shape.

Outright sale, exclusive or non-exclusive licence, a field-of-use split, or a pilot that converts on agreed terms — all are open.

I don't have a preferred structure, and I would rather hear what fits your organisation than propose one that doesn't. If a shape that isn't listed here works better on your side, that is a reasonable place to start.

04

What a first deployment could look like.

Editorial review in the loop

A pilot can be structured so that every visual is queued for editorial review before any reader sees it, with domain experts approving, rejecting or amending each output.

Compatible on day one

No file modification, no re-authoring, no editorial production cycle. Titles already distributed work unchanged.

Comprehension data as an output

Which passages readers choose to augment, dwell time on each visual, and return-to-reading behaviour — passage-level engagement data that publishers do not currently collect.

A pilot is also the natural place to settle the open question about whether this improves comprehension at all.

05

What's public, and what isn't.

An overview of what the method does, and its current state, is public — it is on this site in full. What's built

The design decisions behind it are not published, and are shared under NDA.

Available under NDA: the architectural detail, the schema design, the approach to failure handling, and the codebase and proof of concept in full.
